Downstairs - The living area
Like most Auvernat houses the front door opens directly into the main living/dining room. This room of about 40m2, like most of the house, features a traditional wooden beamed ceiling, and still has the original open-hearth fireplace. The floor has been tiled in a warm terra-cotta.
To the rear a well-appointed fitted kitchen, with double stainless sink and electric oven, within easy reach of the dining area.
A short flight of stairs leads down into a large salon of perhaps 50m2, this section of the house, originally for the farm animals, has been beautifully converted with a large picture window through which you can watch over the property's fields to the forests beyond. The main rooms on the ground floor are fully double glazed.
Before the stairs a vestry with the downstairs WC, leads left to a large workshop area of about 25m2, a scullery where the gas-fired central heating system is installed, and the door to the garage.
